  1. Getting to Know the 3D Interface 

This chapter will get you up to date with any changes to the 3D interface and suggest effective workflows to make your use of 3D as creative as possible.

  1. Introduction to 3D Lights 

In this chapter you will learn about the different light types, their characteristics and their capabilities to light your scene. You will learn how to light your 3D scene in various types of lighting techniques.

  1. Getting to Know the Light Types

Here you will learn about the changes and improvements to the 3D lights, lighting properties and how to adjust settings to create various lighting styles in the 3D scene. 

  1. Surface Attributes

Here you will get a brief overview of the various modes that you can use to change the way a 3D object is viewed to fit your clients needs.

  1. Material Attributes 

Here you will learn how to texture a 3D model to give it that realistic look using the various texturing attributes. This will include: Diffuse, specular, illumination, ambient, shine, reflection, bump opacity, refraction and more.

  1. Camera Attributes

Learn the basics in setting up your 3D camera to match your photographic lenses, Perspective 3D views or Orthographic views, how to set up camera focal lengths, how to produce a lenticular 3D product from your 3D scenes, and Learn how to control shallow or extended depth of field using the 3D camera controls.

  1. Creating Planetary Landscape

This is where we apply what we have learned about 3D by creating an eye popping planetary scene of two ringed planets overlooking a watery landscape.

Here we will discuss the primary compositional focus (the lighthouse subject) and how to compose it, while using the new Crop tool to alter your compositional so that you are never at the mercy of the original photographic perspective.

Alter the scene to include a sunset atmosphere.

Using Photoshops 3D tools to create the planet and its textured surfaces.

Here you will add some interest to the sky by adding a blended series of clouds.
