Former Los Angeles Times photographer George Rose will exhibit over 100 selected black and white images from the L.A. pop culture scene of the 70's and 80's at the Mumm Napa Winery in Rutherford, California.

Opening May 16th, titled Hollywood, Beverly Hills & Other Perversities, the show offers rare and illuminating photographs from Roses' book of the same name, published by Ten Speed Press. Big time celebrities like Jack Nicholson, Frank Sinatra, Cary Grant, Grace Kelly, Keith Richards, Ronald Reagan, Mary Tyler Moore, and Bill Cosby are some of the notables represented in Roses' work.

George Rose's work has appeared in Rolling Stone, Newsweek, Time and USA Today, and he was twice nominated for a Pulitzer Prize while at the Los Angeles Times. Rose is also a recipient of a World Press Award. The black and white images reflect the hugely diverse cultural vibe of Los Angeles, focusing on television, film, music, sports and the arts of the late twentieth century.

The show will run through August 21st at the Fine Art Photography Gallery, Mumm Napa Winery in the Napa Valley. The Private Collection Gallery features an exclusive collection of 27 original, signed fine art photographs by the legendary landscape photographer Ansel Adams. From Matthew Adams' private collection of his grandfather Ansel Adams' photographs, it includes some of the photographer's greatest works.
