Dean Collins Lighting Dean Collins is known worldwide for his lifetime of photographic education tours, seminars, video education and computer based instruction. Dean was a brilliant educator who became one of the most celebrated teachers of photographic lighting and camera technique. He was very effective in his ability to simplify complex thoughts and developed several easily understood methods of controlling light and its behavior. Always a teacher and student of his craft, Tony’s love for photographic education led to his Basic Studio Lighting book from publisher AmPhoto which has been popular worldwide and is the basis for numerous photographic college lighting courses. He is currently one of a select few Approved Photographic Instructors from the Professional Photographers of America and is the recipient of the highest honor from the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International with their Lifetime Achievement Award. Tony is also a member of the elite Camera Craftsmen of America… and the biggest Beatles fan alive.
